In these cases, creating a safe therapeutic relationship can also be key in the recovery process. It is recommended in these cases to have a series of individual sessions with a provider, to ensure that the process is learnt well enough before safely practising on your own.
Once fully learnt, the exercises can be practiced on your own and also in group practice. Ongoing support from a provider can be then met to your need.
As a TRE provider, I offer individual sessions so that you can learn in a safe and comfortable one to one environment where you will receive undivided attention. The sessions take place in a beautiful space located in a private setting, which is a five minute walk from Glastonbury High Street.
During the first session, I will ask you to complete a health questionnaire related to your physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
I will give a brief overview of the TRE process and then we will move into the exercises. During the first 6 exercises you will be standing (unless you need the exercises modified for physical difficulty) and in the last exercise you will be lying on the floor on a mat. It is important for you to wear comfortable clothes that you can stretch in, where movement is unrestricted, exercise clothes are ideal ie jogging/ yoga pants and sweat shirt or T-shirt. After the last exercise I will guide you into relaxation and the session ends with me checking in on your experience. The first session lasts for 2 hours. After the first session, I recommend leaving space and time for the process to integrate in your system. Drinking water and taking an Epsom salt bath are wonderful ways to support this.

Follow on sessions – 90 minutes £60 or £45 concession.
